Mohammad Khaled AL-GHUNAIM

Mr. Al-Ghunaim is a former Kuwaiti judge who worked in various circuits and disposed of a variety of commercial, civil, summary and administrative cases from the year 2000 to the year 2005. Before becoming the judge he worked as Public Prosecutor from the year 1994 to the year 2000, in which he worked in various departments including public funds and difficult debts. He also worked in the legal department of the Gulf Bank of Kuwait from 1993 to 1994.

He attended the following courses:

• A course at the Institute of Banking Studies in the legal aspects of bank credit guarantees.
• A course in the Center for Human Resources Development for Scientific and Practical Methods to detect document forgery and currency counterfeiting.

Ahmad Saud AL-HUMAIDHI

Mr. Al-Humaidhi is a managing partner and is representing clients in litigation and arbitration proceedings in addition to advising corporate clients on various legal issues including corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisitions of public and private companies, assets sale and purchase, rescheduling of loans, and structuring and establishing joint ventures/partnerships.

He is a former judge and has served at various levels of the judiciary which includes Appellate Circuits, Al-Kulliya Court (Court of First Instance), Summary Courts and Rent and Administrative Courts (1999-2006). He heard and decided variety of commercial, civil, labour, rent, summary and administrative cases during his judicial carrier.

He commenced his judicial carrier as a Public Prosecutor (1991-1999) and was gradually promoted to a higher-level judge which made him a prominent judicial officer. He was a deputy manager in the Execution Department for the enforcement of civil judgments (2000-2002).

He attended the following courses held at Kuwait Judicial Studies Institute:

Mr. Qayyum is practicing law, in Kuwait, since 1999 and has extensive knowledge and experience in local and international transactions including local and international mergers of public and private companies including assets sale and purchase. He has successfully concluded public and private merger and acquisition (local and international) transactions (including both equity and asset sale and purchase).

His practice areas include oil and gas sectors, cross-border transactions, engineering procurement and construction (EPC) contracts, civil work contracts and consultancy (under FIDIC conditions), BOT contracts, general corporate matters, banking transactions, licenses, technology transactions, support & maintenance arrangements, franchise contracts and other commercial transactions.

He drafts, reviews, and advises on turnkey contracts, construction, design, construction consultancy contracts and participates in negotiations with the contractors, clients/employers and other service providers.

His main areas of expertise include opinion work in commercial and corporate affairs, engineering, investment, banking, investment funds, insurance, corporate and commercial transactions. He has successfully advised and concluded public and private sector local and international transactions which included acquisition of private equities/assets of private companies, banks, power generation and power supplier government sector corporations. He is advising a wide range of clients on corporate restructuring. In that respect he has also advised and negotiated for and against the creditors, debtors and advisors of the parties.

He is representing clients in variety of arbitrations that includes international (ICC) and local arbitration (KCAC).

Mazen Mohammed TALAT

Mrs. Reem has worked in AlTwaijri Law Firm from 2007-2009, where she represented their clients in civil, commercial, and labor matters in Kuwaiti Courts. She has also drafted legal contracts in commercial matters.

She was the Head of the Legal Department in Sidra Hospital (previously known as Omooma Hospital from 2011-2014. She has worked on civil, commercial, and labor cases, as well as drafted employment, commercial, BOT, IT and financial contracts. She also represented the hospital before various ministries including Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Health.

Mrs. Reem joined GH Law Firm in 2015. She is representing clients and pleading cases before Kuwaiti courts, attending hearings before experts, the CMA, and representing clients in commercial, civil, and labor cases, drafting pleadings, memos and other documents.
